Amy Biddle
National Council on Strength and Fitness Personal Trainer Certification
Yoga Alliance 200 hour Certified Yoga Teacher
Virginia Tech BS Animal Science, Biology
I am a lifelong horse lover and equestrian athlete. I retired as a medical technologist to follow my dream of becoming a horse trainer, a personal trainer, and a yoga instructor. I have competed several horses in Dressage, winning multiple year-end and series awards, including first level with “Letter to Elise” at the 2003 Virginia State Horse Champion Schooling Shows. I have also competed in numerous 5K, 10K, 15K, 10 mile and half marathon races. Physical fitness and strength training have positive effects on my riding and I am excited to share this with others.
Amy combines her personal training and yoga expertise to offer yoga personal traning. This applies the benefits of yoga to an individual’s fitness needs. This opportunity is for anyone — those brand new to yoga or experienced practitioners — to develop strength, range of motion, balance and improved posture, along with the benefits of stress reduction and relaxation.
Client testimonial: “Amy is my personal trainer and I have made so much progress with her! She is also my first yoga teacher and the one who made me fall in love with yoga! If you’re looking for someone who understands you and the best way to build your strength and mobility, you definitely need to schedule some sessions with her. Just do it. You won’t regret giving yourself this gift.”

Family and our health are of utmost importance to me. I want to be there for my family so sometimes you have to think about yourself first to make sure you can take care of home and the needs there. I love engaging in outdoor activities and spending quality time with family and friends. I have played various sports, and played volleyball in college on scholarship.
Client testimonial: “Working with Heather has been a wonderful experience. I love that she helps me focus on lifelong habits and works to help teach me exercises that I can keep and continue using on my own. I also love how she looks at this experience as a whole, asking about how I’m eating and what’s going on in my life. I love coming into my personal training sessions! I definitely feel stronger and happier as a result. She really helped me be able to focus on my body in a healthy way and see it as an act of self care and love. I would recommend this to everyone!”

Katie Hutchins

American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Group Fitness Instructor
In 2010, I lost over 50 pounds to be a better role model for my children, and went from couch potato to distance runner. I started teaching small group fitness in 2011 (circuit training, TRX, kettlebells) and have helped women, like myself, start their own wellness journeys. I am excited to help you find your own fitness, and celebrate you!
I live with my husband, kids, and menagerie of pets in Madison. I enjoy running, and have completed over a dozen half marathons and four full marathons. I am also a voracious reader, love to sing and play my ukulele, and participate both on and offstage in community theatre.

From an early age I have been fascinated by the human body and what it can achieve. I have made it one of my life goals to better understand its design and how it functions. It is my passion to help others improve quality of life by introducing and teaching them how to benefit from exercise and diet.
I’m an avid hiker and have completed dozens of hikes, including Virginia’s Old Rag Mountain. I also enjoy rock climbing, powerlifting, bodybuilding and endurance training.

Client testimonial: “I am Sharon Steele’s first pre-surgical patient for her “prehab” program, and that made me a very fortunate woman. I have osteoarthritis and was scheduled for knee surgery this summer. I had eight personal prehab sessions with Sharon in the pool before my surgery in August 2021. I was ready! I was up and walking with a walker the day of surgery. I only spent one night in hospital. When I came home I used the walker for only two days before my home health physical therapist released me to use a cane. Less than a week after surgery I am hanging wash on my lines! All of my health care providers are amazed at how well I am doing. I feel great and do not have much pain. Prehab makes so much sense. Strengthening the muscles you will need to support your new joint before surgery replacement makes rehabilitation much easier. By the way, I am 74 years old!”
