Do you have muscle soreness, decreased flexibility, or chronic pain? Do you want to increase your training efficiency and sports performance while enhancing your overall well-being? AquaStretch can help!

At PWC, personal trainer Sharon Steele is a certified AquaStretch practitioner. She is also certified by the Aquatic Therapy and Rehab Institute and the Aquatic Exercise Association.

An AquaStretch session with Sharon is a one-on-one assisted stretching and myofascial release technique that uses weighted resistance in shallow water. AquaStretch frees the body of restrictions that limit flexibility; these restrictions may be the cause of pain or discomfort with movement.

With the comfortable support of water, an AquaStretch client will experience a series of head to toe stretches. The client initiates and directs each stretch with the assistance of their facilitator. The aquatic environment allows free movement into stretch positions that cannot be duplicated on land.

The goal of the AquaStretch treatment is to:

  • Reduce chronic pain and improve function to resume day-to-day activities
  • Improve flexibility to improve joint range of motion
  • Reduce risk of sports injury and improve sports performance
  • Improve muscle recovery time after an event.
